Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit www.signalmanta.com, request access to SignalManta or contact us. It does not cover the SignalManta application at app.signalmanta.com; separate privacy information applies there.

2. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies and does not store or read any information on your device (§ 25 TDDDG). It contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or social media tools. The typeface is delivered together with the website, so your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other third-party server while you browse this site.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA (“Netlify”). Each time you open a page, your browser automatically transmits data that Netlify records in server log files:

• your IP address
• date and time of the request
• the page or file requested
• the referring URL
• browser type and version, and operating system
• HTTP status code and amount of data transferred

This data is used only to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure, for example to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. We do not combine this data with other data and do not use it to identify visitors. The website is transmitted exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS).

Netlify processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) and deletes it once it is no longer needed for these purposes. Netlify is a US company and serves the website from servers worldwide, so data may be processed in the United States. Netlify, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: Netlify privacy policy.

4. Requesting access

The “Request access” button takes you to our booking page on cal.eu, provided by Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA (“Cal.com”). No data is sent to Cal.com unless you click the button.

When you book an access call, we process your name, your email address, any details you enter in the booking form and the date and time you select. We use this data to schedule and hold the call and to decide whether we can offer you access. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract).

Cal.com processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. We use Cal.com’s European service (cal.eu), which stores booking data in the EU. As Cal.com is a US company, access from the United States cannot be ruled out; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Cal.com may use cookies or similar technologies on the booking page; details are in the Cal.com privacy policy.

We delete booking data once it is no longer needed to arrange and follow up on the call. If you are given access, we keep your contact details for as long as you use SignalManta. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

5. Access calls via Google Meet

Access calls take place via Google Meet, and bookings are entered in our Google Calendar. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

For the call, we process your name and email address, the date, time and participants of the meeting, technical data such as your IP address and device information, and whatever you choose to share during the call (audio, video, screen and chat). We do not record calls. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Google processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). We delete calendar entries once they are no longer needed. 6. Contacting us by email or phone

If you email or call us, we process the information you provide, typically your name, email address or phone number and the content of your message, in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract or to steps before one, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Our email is hosted on our behalf by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany, under a data processing agreement. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations, in particular under German commercial and tax law, require us to keep it longer.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
• have your data erased (Art. 17)
• have processing restricted (Art. 18)
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
• object to processing (Art. 21, see section 8)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live or work. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern).

You are not legally or contractually obliged to provide personal data. Without the details in the booking form we cannot arrange an access call, and without the server log data the website cannot be delivered.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).

We update this policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
